Installation of ventilation systems

Installation of ventilation systems is the final stage after the design and budgeting. Installation of ventilation systems includes the sequential installation of all elements of ventilation systems - installation of equipment and components and installation of air ducts. Both require certain skills and qualifications of installers, basic knowledge in the field of ventilation. After all, for example, having no idea what ventilation or exhaust ventilation is, not knowing what a filter or non-return valve serves for and how they work and are installed, and even knowing all this, but without being able to read the drawings, it is unlikely to succeed to collect the simplest ventilation system.

Preparation for installation

Installation of ventilation systems, like any other production has a certain sequence, technology, involves the use of special tools and tools.
Installation of ventilation systems of any complexity is carried out according to the design drawings, - ventilation plans and axonometric diagrams, where air ducts with their sections are indicated, locations of equipment and accessories, height at which ducts and equipment are installed. If there is no project documentation for any reason, the designer of the installation organization shall execute the corresponding executive scheme for the installation. Previously, the facility is marking the intended route of air ducts, punching holes in the walls, clarifying the locations of equipment and components. Attention should be paid to their proper installation, - the direction of the air flow, the corresponding location of check valves, throttle valves, etc. More about ducts and where to buy them read here https://texair.eu

Installation of air ducts, both rectangular and round flange, is done after stuffing flanges on their ends, in order to connect the air ducts to each other. Until recently, a steel corner was used as flanges for rectangular ducts, followed by painting and installing rubber strip seals between adjacent flanges. This made the installation of ventilation systems, in fact, the installation of air ducts rather laborious, moreover, the rubber seals dried out over time, which required additional periodic maintenance of the ventilation ducts. In the last decade, this method is almost never used. For round ducts, the flanges still use rolled-on steel with a suitable diameter, a steel angle welded at the junction.

For the manufacture of flanges of rectangular ducts, special trunks are used, which are stuffed on the ends and are interconnected by corners. In the corners there are holes through which the air ducts are connected with each other with the help of bolts, nuts and washers. Shinoriki and corners come in two sizes, - for air ducts with a side of less than 800 mm, flanges are used with a width of 20 mm, for larger sizes - with a width of 30 mm and the corresponding angles. Special self-adhesive seals are used to seal the joints.

For round spiral-injected air ducts, which have recently become quite widespread, nipples and couplings are used as connecting parts.
For mounting air ducts and components to the ceiling or wall there are a large number of perforated profiles of various sizes, special hangers, brackets and clamps. Materials for duct insulation are represented by a wide range of self-adhesive sheet metal insulators of various thicknesses. All this makes the installation of ventilation systems less time consuming and quite simple.
